Friends Meetings

Members may participate in numerous volunteer projects and join in for special events. All membership dues and donations are used toward the betterment of the Silver Springs State Park.


The recipient of your gift membership will receive:
  • Friends of Silver Springs State Park Gift notification welcome letter
  • Large gift tag for the recipient’s and sender’s name and gift information
  • Friends of Silver Springs State Park Membership Card.

The Friends of Silver Springs State Park is growing and with that growth comes many ways to donate. The Success of the Friends of Silver Springs State Park depends on dedicated, hardworking volunteers, along with your donation. Your donation will help connect families to nature, provide access to outdoor opportunities, and conserve land, springs and wildlife.


Everyone deserves to live happy and healthy lives.

Knap In

February 17 - 18, 2018
The eighth annual Silver River Knap-in February 17-18 features a prehistoric arts festival and stone tool making. Held at the Silver River Museum and Environmental Education Center, you can check out bow and arrow making, tomahawk and spear throwing, pottery making, Indian artifact displays and more. 

There will be archaeology talks by experts in the field, an old time puppet show, museum scavenger hunt and tram tours of the Silver Springs State Park in addition to food and craft vendors.

Pancakes in the Park

Ask anyone; Friends of Silver Springs State Park has an outstanding reputation for serving the best pancakes in the area. Breakfasts are cooked and served hot and fresh at Silver Springs State Park, State Road 35 entrance.


Our famous breakfasts include:  pancakes and sausage, orange juice and coffee.

Springs Festival

March 3-4, 2018
You’re invited to go outdoors to experience Florida’s amazing natural resources and have a great time! Join in the fun on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4 and marvel the beautiful Silver Springs. 

Listen to music, see art, talk to environmental experts, see mermaids, take a Glass Bottom Boat tour, rent a canoe/kayak, take a hike, go for a bike ride, and enjoy games, food, fun and fun.
