Hey Silver Springs State Park fans! Time to embrace the warming weather and get out to your favorite little slice of Paradise. There’s a lot of new stuff blooming at the Park. Azaleas are popping. Birds are building nests. Springsfest is just around the corner (link). And the Friends are gearing up to celebrate a new season of paddling fun on our magnificent river. Take a look at what we have waiting for you at the Park Welcome Center.
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT 10' blue kayak, a Field & Stream Chute paddle, a Universal life vest
And for those paddlers who like to cruise in high places:
Youth Hooligan green Stand-Up Paddle Board with paddle, and Field & Stream life vest.
Yes! These are the prizes the Friends are offering in our newest Drawing of Chance. For a $1 donation you can get a chance to win the package of your choice…..or get 6 chances for $5…….or 12 for $10. You get the picture. You can even try for both packages. Not a paddler? So what! Imagine what a gift this would be for someone in your family! Not to mention the fact that you would be helping the Friends raise extra funding for the Park.
So come by the Welcome Center, take a look and tell everyone you know. There’s plenty of time. The two winning tickets will be drawn on Saturday July 4th around 1:00 p.m. There is no need to be present. We’ll give the winner a call right away.
Finally, a hearty THANK YOU to all who have participated in past Friends Drawings of Chance! Your donations and the time you have invested in the Welcome Center promoting the drawing to Park visitors have made it possible for us to raise thousands of dollars for improvements in the Park. And because of that, we are all winners!
